Welder Fitter

Type of Position:  Permanent, full time

Job Duties:

• The ability to learn how to cut, fit and weld aluminum and stainless steel
• Work independently or in a team environment.
• Read and interpret fabrication drawings for welding/assembly, tolerances and civil drawings
• Operate job related equipment (cut off saw, iron worker, hydraulic presses, shears, drill presses, torches, oxygen lances, pneumatic/power actuated tools, & plasma cutters)
• Inspect raw materials and finished product to meet specification.
• Fit and assemble simple as well as complex assemblies
• Good housekeeping practices at all times, to help maintain safe work areas for yourself and your co-workers
• Someone who can think outside the box and work hard for a family-run business. Experience with Aluminum, MIG and TIG welding is a plus.

Skills & Education Required:

• Completion of secondary school or equivalent experience
• Safe Work record
• Good communication skills and effective ability to follow directions
• Proven attention to detail with high level of accuracy
• Excellent time management, organization and planning skills
• Thrives in a positive team environment and easily adapts to new things
• Communicates with co-workers in a respectful and supportive manner
•  Confident in problem-solving and providing solutions when issues arise
• Works with a high standard of integrity
