About the Opportunity

A Canadian-based gold producer with operations in Canada and Mexico is seeking an experienced Underground Development Miner – MacLean Bolter to join its operations team at the Young-Davidson Mine.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Mine Supervisor, the Underground Development Miner – MacLean Bolter will:

– Lead the installation of ground support using a MacLean mechanized bolter
– Identify unsafe conditions in underground headings
– Install and repair services in underground headings
– Install ground support using mechanized bolting equipment
– Maintain communication with supervisors regarding workplace progress
– Perform pre-operational inspections on equipment
– Carry out assigned duties in a safe and efficient manner
– Maintain strong housekeeping standards
– Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

– Accreditation in Basic Common Core
– Accreditation in Specialty Common Core
– Minimum 7 years of underground mining experience
– Minimum 2 years of MacLean bolting experience
– Demonstrated proficiency installing ground support using mechanized bolters
– Ability to read and interpret engineering prints
– Strong safety focus
– Self-motivated with ability to work independently
– Strong teamwork and communication skills
