Truck Driver

Position: Truck Driver 
Location of Work: Timmins, Ontario

Our client runs Freightliner Cascadia Trucks with Detroit 500hp engine and 18speed transmission hauling 60000kg gross weight. We haul wood chips, bark, shaving and sawdust from mill in northern Ontario and northern Quebec.
 
Job Duties: 

• Operate and drive primarily tractor-trailer to transport goods and materials over short and long distances.
• Plan trip logistics and obtain required documentation to transport goods.
• Perform and maintain logbooks of pre-trip, on route and post-trip inspection of vehicle systems, such as tires, lights and turning signals, brakes and cold storage.
• Ensure cargo is secured properly as per safety requirements and follow all safety procedures.
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption.
• Maintain a complete maintenance and repair logbooks.
• Administer bills of lading and maintain logbooks.
• Report and log accidents or incident accurately.

 
Skills, Experience and Education Required:

• Completion of Secondary School or equivalent.
• Experience as an International Truck Driver is an ASSET 
• Experience driving on the Right side of the road is a MUST
• AZ Class license
