Position: Millwright

Location: Northern Ontario

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of mechanical equipment both in-shop and at customer sites
  • Fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance, or set-up
  • Apply comprehension of conveyor dynamics and material handling fundamentals
  • Perform routine maintenance and assemble machinery prior to installation
  • Carry out start-up, testing, and shutdown operations
  • Read and interpret engineered blueprints and drawings
  • Conduct rigging and handling tasks safely and effectively
  • Work with bearings, seals, and packing during installation and repair
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work area and equipment
  • Complete all jobs in a timely and satisfactory manner
  • Demonstrate experience in bulk material handling

Job Requirements

  • Completion of 3rd term or Journeyman Certificate in the Millwright trade
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in the industry
  • Proven welding experience (MIG, TIG, Stick, or Arc preferred)
  • Practical experience in pipe fitting for mechanical installations and repairs
  • Basic experience with rigging equipment
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites and remote locations
  • Flexibility to work overtime and irregular hours as required

Salary Range

CAD $30 – $45 per hour (commensurate with experience)
