Agricultural Heavy Equipment Technician
Technicians will diagnose and repair a wide range of agricultural and construction equipment. Experience in agriculture is an asset but not necessary.
Key Duties:
• Maintain, repair, and overhaul farm machinery such as tractors, tillage, planting, haying, harvesting and
combining equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on farm equipment.
• Repair or replace defective parts using hand and power tools, welding equipment, diagnostic tools.
• Test and replace electrical components.
• Troubleshooting problems and performing diagnostic testing.
• Demonstrating proficient knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Rebuild power shift transmission and tune or overhaul diesel engines.
• Manage task and prioritizing work to be completed.
• Review and follow repair work orders.
• Record details of repairs made and parts used.
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment.

Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge:
• 2+ years of experience performing service repairs.
• Interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to perform repairs and required maintenance using special tools and equipment.
• Expert knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems used in the repair of agricultural and
turf equipment.
• Ability to use basic computer functions.
• Ability to operate vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes.
• Ability to lift at least 75 lbs. repeatedly.
• Valid driver’s license.
