Heavy Equipment Mechanic – Construction

Work location: Canada

Wage: $30 – $34 per hour

Job duties: 

• Perform failure analysis and repair on all types of construction equipment, including Genie, Skyjack and CAT:
• Excavators
• Bulldozers
• Loaders
• Graders
• Dump Trucks
• Compactors
• Cranes
• Pavers
• Skid Steers
• Scrapers
• Trenchers
• Forklifts
• Telehandlers
• Participate in safe workplace safety, environmentally sound behaviours and practices.

Skills, experience and education required:

• Driver's license
• Able to perform heavy lifting, as heavy lifting will be required frequently
• Extensive background and knowledge of construction equipment and the necessary parts and services to maintain, troubleshoot and repair
• Existing knowledge of the service/maintenance requirements for all types of construction equipment, including Genie, Skyjack and CAT. 
• Strong computer skills and familiarity with Cat systems (ET and SIS would be considered beneficial)
• Preference will be given to a 421A Heavy Equipment licensed person.  

Schedule

• Shift work: 40 hours per week
• Number of days per week: 5
