Heavy Equipment Mechanic – Aerial

Work location: Canada 

Wage: $30 – $34 per hour

Job duties: 

  • Testing repaired equipment for proper performance.

  • Performing preventive maintenance and generating work orders as required.

  • Documenting service and repair information.

  • Cleaning, lubricating, and performing other maintenance work.

  • Troubleshoot equipment problems in the shop, and occasionally on customers' sites:

    • Scissor Lifts

    • Boom Lifts

    • Telehandlers

    • Cherry Pickers

    • Articulating Boom Lifts

    • Vertical Mast Lifts

    • Towable Boom Lifts

    • Push-Around Lifts

    • Material Lifts

    • Insulated Aerial Lifts

    • Personal Lifts

Skills, experience and education required:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working on earthmoving and aerial equipment such as telehandlers, boom lifts, scissor lifts, air compressors, etc.

  • Very customer-oriented, strong organizational skills, and ability to work independently.

  • Willingness to work overtime as required.

  • Valid driver's license and satisfactory driver's abstract.

  • Valid Journeyman/Journeywoman HET certificate a definite asset, or 4th-year apprentice.

Schedule

  • Shift work: 40 hours per week

  • Number of days per week: 5
