Wage & Hours: $30.00 – $42.00 per hour

RESPONSIBILITIES:
 

• Assemble heavy equipment and prepare for delivery.
• Check equipment for proper performance and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions.
• Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required.
• Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts, components or systems using hand and power tools.
• Test repaired equipment.
• Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment.
• Disassemble and reassemble diesel and gas engines as well as transmissions and differentials.
• Keep track of work performed with accurate records.
• Abide by safety policies and procedures.
• Read hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic diagrams.

REQUIREMENTS:

• +5 years of experience working on heavy equipment for construction, mining or agricultural equipment is mandatory.
• Secondary school and a craft certificate are mandatory.
• Basic computer skills.
• Proficiency in diagnostic tools.
• Able to work independently, as well as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s license in good standing.
• Great accuracy and manual dexterity.
