Work Location : From Concord, ON to different sites in Canada 
Wage & Hours:
                           42.09$

Overtime Rate :                          60.70$
Premium Time up to :                80.94$

Number of hours per day:            8 or 12 hours
Number of days per week:           5 or 7   
Number of hours per week:         40 or 84
Overtime starts after how many hours:  40 or 84 hours in two weeks
Shift rotation (as applicable): FIFO : 2 weeks in 2 weeks out | 3 weeks in 3 weeks out
Travel allowance : Up to 600$

Job Duties:

  • Our technicians, heavy equipment are responsible for supporting the customer out in the field or on site on superior service and product expertise to maintain extremely high standards that ensure repairs are completed in a timely manner with the utmost integrity;
  • Demonstrate safe, environmentally sound and healthy work behaviors at all times, in support of Toromont’s Health and Safety Policies, Programs and initiatives;
  • Diagnose mechanical problems using Caterpillar testing equipment
  • Maintain quality workmanship to repair Caterpillar equipment within the established time standards in the shop or out in the field;
  • Prepare accurate service and repair reports in an accurate and timely manner;
  • Maintain trusted customer relationships through regular on-site visits.

Skills Required:

  • Safety conscious with a diverse knowledge of Caterpillar products and systems.
  • A basic knowledge of cutting, welding and fabrication.
  • Able to read and understand prints, drawings, and technical bulletins.
  • Analytical with knowledge of mechanics in electrical and hydraulic systems.
  • Customer centric with excellent relationship management.
  • Proven ability to complete repairs/service within established time guidelines in a busy, fast paced environment where priorities are constantly changing.
  • Self-directed team player with strong initiative, business acumen and integrity.
  • Focused, energetic, and organized with superior attention to detail and a sense of urgency.
  • Strong computer skills and familiarity with Cat systems (ET and SIS) would be beneficial.
  • Knowledge of competitors’ equipment would be an asset.
  • Willing to work flexible shifts to meet the demands of the business, including afternoon shifts.
  • Adaptable to on-call working schedules and willing to work in all weather conditions.
