Agriculture Equipment Technician

Company Description: Our client is a John Deere dealer offering complete equipment solutions at 18 locations across Saskatchewan and Manitoba!

Job Title: Agriculture Equipment Technician 

Location of Work: Saskatchewan and Manitoba 

Wage: $38 per hour + full benefits 

Type of Position: Permanent, full time 

Language: English

Job Duties:

Perform all the duties of a Service Technician including: 

• Removal, disassembly, and reconditioning of components; 
• Handling complex diagnostics 
• Repairing agricultural and turf equipment 
• PDI work 
• Perform a mix of shop and/or road (in the field) work, as required; 
• Perform any and all service tasks as assigned 
• Perform machine start ups 
• Perform  machine optimizations 
• Assist or support in customer clinics 
• Maintain condition of vehicles, inventory, tools and equipment in good working order 
• Maintain a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion 
• Work to build and maintain constructive co-worker relations, and effective and productive team dynamics 
• Ensure all safety regulations and requirements are followed by self and others 
• Other duties as assigned.

Skills, Experience and Education Required:

• Trade Certificate in Heavy Equipment Repair 
• 5+ years of experience performing service repairs on agricultural machinery (Tractors, combines, boom sprayers, etc.) 
• Familiarity with John Deere equipment and Service Advisor
• Strong diagnostics and troubleshooting skills 
• Strong background on engines, hydraulics, powertrains, air-conditioning, mechanical and electrical systems
• Ability to read, write, and speak effectively with customers and/or other employees
