Job Duties: •Operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment to fuse metal segments using processes such as GTAW and GMAW •Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment •Read and interpret blueprints and welding process specifications •Operate metal shaping machines such as brakes, shears and other metal shaping, straightening and bending machines •Determine weldability of materials •Operate hoisting and lifting equipment •Previous fitting experience
Skills, Experience and Education Required: •Completion of Secondary School or Equivalent experience •Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in a pressure vessel custom manufacturing shop (must) •Experience in pressure vessel and TIG (aluminum and stainless steel) •Experience in welding techniques such as gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW), gas metal arc welding (GMAW), fusion welds, multipass, resistance, spot or seam
