Job Description:
The Truck Mechanic-Mobile is accountable for ensuring the proper functioning and maintenance of trailer trucks and equipment within all locations in Northern Ontario. This role is instrumental in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various types of trucks, such as tandem tanker trucks, semi-trailer trucks, box trucks, fuel dispensing systems, fuel storage tanks, pumping systems, locomotive, and ad hoc maintenance equipment.
Requirements:
– Minimum 5 years of experience as a truck or coach mechanic
– Proven experience with Kenworth, International, Volvo, Mercedez Benz, Cummins, Navistar and other brands
– Completed secondary school education
– Valid driver’s license
– Skilled in inspections, diagnostics, and general repairs
– Strong knowledge of engines, exhaust, braking, air & hydraulic systems
– Welding, electrical systems, and tire repair are considered strong assets
– Daily tasks include troubleshooting, equipment repair, accurate documentation, test driving, and teamwork.
